Company L leads SGRE’s foray into green hydrogen—from large-scale electrolyzer manufacturing to green hydrogen production, logistics, and use-case deployment.
We’re setting up India’s first modular hydrogen production parks integrated with renewable power and advanced water management systems. These facilities will serve both domestic decarbonization and global export demand.
With industrial corridors requiring clean feedstock and hydrogen emerging as a cross-border energy carrier, Company L enables India to leapfrog into the next energy paradigm.
Our green hydrogen assets target priority sectors:
- Industrial: Retrofitting grey hydrogen in steel, cement, and refinery clusters
- Mobility: Piloting H₂ fuel cell buses and freight corridors with state governments
- Fertilizer: Partnering with Company M for green ammonia conversion
- Grid: Deploying hydrogen-powered turbines and fuel cells for seasonal storage
Every ton of hydrogen produced by SGRE offsets 9–10 tons of CO₂ when replacing grey hydrogen or diesel—compounding our climate impact.
Company L is commissioning India’s largest electrolyzer manufacturing line in Maharashtra, supported by Company B’s advanced manufacturing infrastructure.
We will produce:
- Alkaline electrolyzers for cost-sensitive industrial use
- Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyzers for transport and mobility
- Solid Oxide Electrolyzers (SOEC) R&D for future high-efficiency cycles
Through Make in India programs and strategic JVs with European tech providers, we aim to manufacture over 2 GW/year of electrolyzer capacity by 2028.
SGRE is co-developing export terminals and green hydrogen supply chains linked to Japan, South Korea, the EU, and the Gulf.
With support from India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission (₹19,744 crore allocation), and our proximity to ports like Nhava Sheva and Dighi, we’re primed for international shipments.
We also engage with policy frameworks like the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) to align with green product mandates and secure bilateral offtake deals.
